Equipping the Church: Evangelism Tools for Easter Sunday
Easter is one of the most powerful weekends of the year, it’s a chance to celebrate the hope of Jesus and welcome people into the house of God. At VOUS, we see it as a wide-open door for evangelism. An opportunity for our church to invite those that are far from God close to him, whether it be a friend, neighbor, or a total stranger.
We believe people want to make a difference, they want to invite others, but sometimes don’t know how, but by giving them the right tools they feel empowered to do so. This is why this year we’ve become intentional about equipping our church with simple, creative, and practical resources that make an invite easy and even fun.
Easter Business Cards with a Personal Touch
One of the tools that’s made the biggest impact are our custom Easter business cards. These pocket-sized invites include service details and a space for the person inviting another to write their name and phone number, turning a quick handoff into a personal connection. It’s no longer “you should come,” it’s “come with me. I’ll text you the details. Let’s go together.”
It’s small, but meaningful. And it’s helped so many of our VOUS family feel more confident to extend an invite.

Easter Door Hangers for Your Neighborhood
On Palm Sunday, we set out door hangers—beautifully designed, clear, and easy to use. They include Easter service times and a simple invitation for neighbors to come experience the hope of Easter.
We encourage our church to grab a stack and hang them on doors throughout their neighborhood during the week. It’s a tangible way to spread the word and share the love of Jesus, right where they live.
This small act of faith often leads to a big impact with people showing up because someone in their community took a moment to invite them.

It All Starts with an Invitation
At VOUS we believe every invitation is a seed and God brings the harvest. A simple invite can lead to a life-changing encounter with Jesus. We do our part, and God does the rest. The bible says in Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? We are called to preach or at least invite others to hear God’s word.
As you prepare for Easter in your own church, we hope this encourages you. You don’t have to do everything the way we do it, but putting creative tools in the hands of your people can activate them in ways that matter. This season is full of opportunity, and we’re believing with you for salvations, stories, and lives forever changed.
You’re not just planning for a service, you’re preparing for a harvest.
Let’s go tell the Good News.
Next week we’ll let you in on the creative process for Easter… so stay tuned!
