When Easter rolls around, we all know it’s one of the most important Sundays of the year. People walk through our doors who might not step into a church any other weekend. That’s why at VOUS, we treat it as a full-church effort, this includes our Creative Team.
This year, our theme was simple yet powerful: Holy Jesus.
Why Holy Jesus?
The theme came out of Colossians 1:16, “For in him all things were created… all things have been created through him and for him.”
We wanted to fix our eyes on the truth that Jesus is not only Savior—He’s holy. The cross reveals His love, and the resurrection reveals His holiness. That’s the message we wanted people to experience when they walked through the doors.
Visually, our team leaned into circular imagery to represent Jesus at the center. From stage design to social graphics, it all came back to that core idea: Jesus holds it all together.

Collaborating With VOUS Worship
Our new VOUS Worship song, Holy Jesus has tied the theme. More than a soundtrack it’s become the heartbeat of this season.
Instead of creating a music video in a trendy location, our team filmed a stripped-down version of the song in an old church with a choir. It was reverent, simple, and deeply personal. The creative approach wasn’t about creating something new, it was about reminding people of something true: Jesus has always been holy.

Tools to Help Our Church Invite
We knew Easter wasn’t just about the service, it was about the invite. So, our Creative Team worked to design invite tools that made it easy and personal:
- Business Cards: These included a space for someone to write their name and number before handing them out. We wanted to turn invites into actual conversations, not just one-and-done handoffs.
- Door Hangers: Sometimes, the greatest ministry opportunity is right in your neighborhood. These were created to help our church activate their block, apartment, or building.
For easy access, we set up invite stations on Sundays where people could grab the tools they needed. We made the set beautiful, but more importantly, we made it clear and usable. Because if it’s nice to look at but hard to use, we’ve missed the point.

Simple Systems for Evangelism
We believe part of our role is to remove barriers to invitation. This year, we created a system around the invite:
- Physical prints to hand out
- Shareable digital graphics
- Copyable invite text at vouschurch.com/easter

All of these point to one thing: equipping people to extend the invitation. Easter is a moment to remind our church, this isn’t just a service to attend, it’s a Savior to share. Whether your creative team is big or small, the goal is the same: Make it clear. Make it beautiful. Make it easy to share. Make it about Jesus.
Let the message do the heavy lifting. The story of Holy Jesus is more than enough.
